Do you like to drink your tea with a dash of milk? This softens the taste and rounds it off perfectly. If so, then this Oolong would be just the right tea for you.

The "Milky Oolong" has its origins in the Chinese province of Fujian and owes its name to its unique, milky aroma. After fermentation, the tea leaves undergo a specially developed process: before the leaves are rolled, they are heated over the steam of boiling milk. The high temperatures expand the pores of the tea leaves and thus absorb the aroma of the creamy milk.

Ingredients: semi-fermented tea, flavouring (lactose).

ICED TEA RECIPE

Ingredients: 7-8 heaped teaspoons Milky Oolong / 1 dash of milk / 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream (optional) / 1 handful of ice cubes

Preparation: Pour 1 litre of water at around 80°C over the tea and let it steep for 3 minutes. Fill a large pot with ice cubes and pour the tea over it. Allow to cool until the tea is completely cold. Add a dash of milk. The tea is actually delicious even when cold. The composition is perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in each glass.
